West of Fairview Housing is a 100-unit residential community comprised of five three-story buildings and a shared community building, designed as part of a master-planned expansion of the City of Hollister. The site is organized into distinct landscaped zones for activity, recreation, and relaxation, anchored by a central thoroughfare that transforms a required fire lane into a vibrant space for social connection. Units are carefully oriented to maximize natural light while preserving privacy between neighboring buildings. Each all-electric unit is accessed via a shared exterior corridor and features a private balcony. The buildings themselves are vertically stepped and offset to break down the overall massing, creating a scale that thoughtfully integrates with the surrounding single-family neighborhood.
