447 MINNA – CAST

We were first approached by CAST, Community Arts Stabilization Trust, to design PUSH’s new dance studio on the 2nd Floor of their building on 447 Minna. We then had the pleasure to participate in their outreach efforts through Dreaming Spaces, a series of community oriented events to envision the future of 447 Minna and the neighboring M5 Plaza. Last came the design of the 3rd Floor of the same building, which resulted in a flexible, open layout to be used for art residencies. Now that both projects are completed, we are excited to to continue working together on their next project: the adaptive reuse of an historic building on Natoma into a multi-purpose hub for local community programs.
